About
Us
Holly Million is a filmmaker, fundraising expert,
and author. She believes anything is possible. She imagines…and
delivers. Holly is a teacher and messenger. She cherishes the
truth and uses her stamina, mental strength, and intuitive
talent to achieve her goals. She believes in abundance.
Holly founded Golden Poppy Productions, LLC in
1996 when a bright-orange cluster of California poppies awakened
her from a reverie in fog-drenched San Francisco. Those poppies
were so vibrant, positive, and absolutely certain something
great was about to happen. Holly adopted them as the symbol
of her new company.

A worldwide traveler, Holly has been to
China, Thailand, Mexico, Nepal, Canada, South Korea, and
Vietnam. She met her husband, cinematographer
Chris Million,
on a trip to Mongolia in 1996 when she was working for Interplast,
a nonprofit providing reconstructive surgery for children
in developing nations. Each year Interplast offered staff
members a chance to join one of thirty trips to countries
all over the world. Holly picked Mongolia, “because
I wanted to go somewhere I would never have a chance to visit
again in this lifetime.”
A week before the trip, Interplast hired
a cameraman to join the team in Mongolia to record their
work. Chris Million was the lucky cameraman. With a wing
and prayer on MIAT Airlines, Chris made it to the hospital
where the Interplast team – and
Holly – were working. Jet-lagged, caffeine deprived,
and disoriented, he met Holly for the first time when she handed
him the video camera she’d brought from California. “Here’s
your camera,” she said. “I hope it’s okay.
I didn’t know how to charge the batteries.” He
forgave her.
In the years since they met, Holly and Chris Million have
become a solid team, working on numerous film and television
projects together. The best is yet to come.
